Couponing 101

New to couponing??? I remember when I first started...I was sooo confused! So what does it all mean?

Coupon Abbreviations:
Q- Coupon
MQ- Manufacturer Coupon
TQ- Target Coupon
Cat- Catalina Coupon (prints from a separate machine than your receipt at checkout)
IP- Internet printable (a coupon you print off the internet)
MFR- Manufacturer
MIR- Mail in Rebate
OOP- Out of Pocket (Money paid after coupons and discounts)
PEELIE- Peel off coupon found on the outside package of a product
DND- Do Not Double
RC- Raincheck
GC- Gift Card
STACKING- Using a Manufacturer Coupon and Store Coupon on 1 product
TEARPAD- A pad of coupons usually found on a store shelf, display, or endcap
RR- Register Rewards (Walgreens Reward System)
ECB- Extra Care Bucks (CVS Reward System)
BOGO or B1G1- Buy One Get One
Double Coupon- Coupon is doubled at checkout
Blinkies- Coupon dispensers found throughout the store (usually with blinking lights)
$1/1- $1 off wyb 1 item
$1/2- $1 off wyb 2 items
WYB- When You Buy (Ex: Free Deodorant wyb Body Wash)
EXP- Expiration date
NED- No expiration date
UPC- Universal product code (black barcode scanned at checkout)

Coupon inserts (found in your local paper):
P&G- Proctor & Gamble
RP- Redplum
SS- Smartsource
