Earth Day Snack: Dirt Pudding

Amanda over at A Few ShortCuts has a fun and yummy snack perfect for Earth Day!

Dirt Pudding

Ingredients

• 1 pkg chocolate instant pudding mix
• 2 cups milk
• 1 small container Cool Whip topping, thawed
• 1 pkg Oreo cookies (crushed)
• 1 pkg gummy worms

Directions

• Mix pudding mix and milk. Whisk together well!
• Whisk in about ¾ of the tub of cool whip; about 6 oz.
• Then stir in about 1 ½ cups crushed Oreos.
• You can now scoop pudding mixture into individual serving cups, or 1 large serving bowl (see suggestions).
• Top with remaining cookie crumbs to make it look like dirt.
• Add Gummy worms, artificial flowers, or live edible flowers to decorate!
• Refrigerate at least 10 minutes before serving.

I recently decided to subscribe to my local newspaper and I was super excited when they told me about an awesome special. I could receive the Sunday and Wednesday paper for only $1.00/week. I've been paying $2.00/week for the Sunday paper alone. Papers vary from region to region, but my Wednesday paper has additional coupons and sale circulars not found in the Sunday paper. So my total savings: $52.00/year. That is 64% off the news stand price! WOW! Plus I will receive an extra paper with more coupons. Even better! Did I mention I have the convenience of the paper delivered right to my door every week. =)

Sunday Sentiments: Waiting

"Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him." Psalm 37:7

In today's society I find it so incredibly hard to wait. We are people of instant gratification and immediate solutions, yet the Bible repeatedly tells us to wait for the Lord. We are simply to trust in Him and wait patiently. This is a lesson that I feel God has been trying to teach me over the last several months. I have come to realize it's not about my plan, but God's perfect timing!

I encourage you to put your concerns, burdens, and needs into His hands and wait. May God bless each of us as we humbly submit to His will.
