Tipster Tuesday: Giving Back to Our Troops!

Last night I was sorting through my coupon organizer and removing expired coupons. I looked at all those coupons just laying on the floor and I wondered...What do you do with your unused and expired coupons? Throw them away? Recycle them?

I usually give mine to my little girl. She LOVES cutting out coupons with mommy and taking her own stack of coupons to the grocery store. Plus it's a great opportunity to teach her a lesson in the importance of saving money. After all our children are the Future Couponers of America. ;)

Well did you know you can donate your coupons to U.S. Military Bases all around the world? The prices in overseas commissaries are significantly higher than those in the U.S. and military families do not always have access to coupons in newspapers and inserts. Military families can redeem coupons for up to 6 months after their expiration date. You can find out more details and information HERE.

So the next time you are staring at a pile of unwanted or expired coupons you’ve sorted and thinking about throwing them away, send them to our troops instead. It will only cost you a stamp or two and you would help our wonderful service men and women at the same time. What a great way to be able to support our troops!

God Bless Our Troops and their families!
