We had some unexpected expenses over the past few weeks. By menu planning and working through our stockpile, I've been able to stay within our weekly budget. With that being said, my stockpile is looking bare and it's time to head to the grocery store...with coupons in hand of course! =) So here's what our menu plan looks like this week:
Monday- Chicken and Dumplings, Veggies
Tuesday- Turkey Burgers
Wednesday- Kraut and Weiners, Fried potatoes, Pinto beans, and Corn Bread
Friday- Leftover Mac and Cheddar Cheese with Chicken and Broccoli
Saturday- Homemade Pizza
Sunday- Southwestern Quinoa Vegetable Casserole (My first attempt at quinoa)
For Breakfast I will let the kids pick and choose every morning between the following:
- Pancakes
- Cereal with fresh fruit
- Sausage gravy and biscuits
- Oatmeal
- Waffles
Lunch:
- Leftovers
- PB&J
- String Cheese
- Yogurt with granola
- Fresh Fruit
- Popcorn
- Granola Bars
- Veggies with Hummus
